Cypress, Texas Ghost Tales My Mother has lived in her home in Cypress, Texas for four years now. When she first moved in we both saw a man in an 1800's suit standing over my younger sister who was asleep in her bed. Thinking it was my stepdad trying to scare her I snuck up to him and said ''Ryan stop trying to scare Hayley!'' But when the man turned around it was not my step dad. The man looked at me strangely then simply walked past me and my mom and disappeared at the foot of out stairway. I have also seen and heard two children playing on our stairs at night and have heard a boy's voice calling my name from inside my closet. I do not know what these spirits want but they have not hurt any one....yet. Submitted by Kiki       Categories: home, man We recently moved into an apartment in Verde Cypress Creek apartments. In our particular building I have found several people including me being accused of being loud in the middle of the night. We are currently having to move out of our apartment, because a man that lives       next to us swears that he hears a woman yelling every night around three a.m. and doors slamming. Now I do have to admit that sometimes my kids go to bed late, but never at 3 a.m.. People in this particular building get blamed for doors slamming at all hours of the night, and about two nights ago I heard a fait scream of a woman. I have also heard   extremely loud bangs like something is getting blown up. I really wanted to post this to see if there is any history to this particular piece of property. Submitted by Shay       Categories: apartment, sounds, noises We lived in a 10 year old house in cypress and I dont know the history of the place, but there was definately something going on in that house, I had a hand grab my foot and then the door slamm shut on one occasion... and there was some dark shadow shape that was present in the middle of the stairway day or night, and it would be swinging back and foreward.... The ghost of a guy having letters cut into his foot can frequently be observed hauling a cadaver from the freezing water of Dry Creek before dawn. Regardless of what, it's a chilling ghost that should be avoided.
