Edcouch, Texas Ghost Tales When I was about 6 living on 10th st across from our house was a field, (which is a neighborhood now), and to the left of the field and in plain view was/is the Elsa Sacred Heart Caltholic Church, well I was sitting with my parents on the front porch, and as they were talking I looked up across to the front of the church in full view I saw an appiration of a lady dressed in what looked like a white wedding dress with a veil, walking across the front of the church close to the highway, I immediately told my parents look!.. and and as they observed I ran inside and called my sibilings to come out and see, all 8 of us stood outside the porch staring at the real life figure floating across in front of the church.. until it got closer to the canal and disappeared into the darkness... that was something i'll never forget, we all came inside scared, my parents put us in the middle bedroom and we all spent the night there, while my father and one of my brothers stood guard at the door with a rifle.. Submitted by Norma When I was 17 me and       a couple of my friends were out looking for a place to party I took them to this old abandoned farm house in the middle of an orange field a few miles away from my house on s.white ranch rd. It was about 1:30 in the morning when we all heard a woman crying now that got us a little uneasy. About 2 min. later we all saw a woman wearing a white dress   slowly walk by, then it stoped and started walking towards us, we all froze at that time and just as easy as it came it disappeared in front of us. Things take place in this place that cannot be given an explanation. Not everybody has faith in the accounts the people who live here tell, but if you dare to spend the night in Edcouch, you could see a ghost for yourself. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A female with worms crawling out of her ears was observed staying in a deserted dwelling in Edcouch. The ghost didn't mind that there was someone else present. The ghost of a shackled up lady appeared looking for a shoe in Sunrise Hill County Park before sunrise. When the observer materialized the ghost ran away. Folks here assert that this ghost is most likely the undead ghost of a resident who used to live here in Edcouch.
