The ghosts of this settlement don’t leave anyone unalarmed. A number of locals say these accounts are untrue, but with so many ghosts in Flomot you have a reasonably perfect chance of distinguishing       one if you stay for the night around here. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The ghost of a shackled up woman has been said to have been   noticed on a small number of occasions before sunrise floating along on Brushy Creek. A woman with the head of a devil may be seen time and again verbalizing into the air up on the highest spot of Quitaque Peaks. Some of the people who live here claim this spirit is that of a person who lived here in Flomot in the past. A female clutching her head underneath her arm has from time to time been distinguished in Dick Moore Canyon in the early morning hours searching for another ghost. In any event, it is indisputably a frightening ghost that any sound person would not want to bump into. The ghost of a young-looking female in a blood-splattered wedding dress is occasionally perceived down by Miller Springs at midnight gripping a cranium. It has been argued that this precise ghost likes scaring people who come trying to locate ghosts in Flomot.
