I saw a devil looking ghost peeking at me from around a wall in my old home. Then later that night I saw the same figure staring at me in the middle of the room in the dark smiling. Sorry, I have no picture. I couldn't find my phone.

It's been a week since we left Fredericksburg. Let's just say it was an experience I won't forget. We went there to celebrate our 20-year wedding anniversary. We try to go there every two years to get away from the big city of Houston. We usually stay at a cabin type house on someone's property, sort of like a B&B but a lot more private. We always enjoy the history of these places. We arrived at our place which is five mile from Fredericksburg close to Luckenbach. I believe it was called Cain City at one time.
In pictures our small home looked beautiful. When we arrived the house looked the same, just a little bit more worn out at first glance. We went to the lock box and grab keys. We went inside to explore our new home for the next two days. The home had central air and was beautiful inside. You could sense the history in it. It was rather small with just two bedrooms. We went to the master room to stay but realized there was no ceiling fan. We said to ourselves that we would just buy a fan. When we went to the second bedroom there was a ceiling fan, so we decided that was where we would sleep. (This room was part of the original home.) The master was added on as well as restrooms.

We had dinner reservations. At 6:00 p.m. my wife jumped into the shower. I was still exploring. I came across a guest memory book in the living room, so I started reading about previous guest and their stays. I also noticed several pages were torn out of the book. I came across one saying ''we loved the house, but the ghost was creepy.'' Another one said the ghost wouldn't let them sleep. I'd say I'm not a ghost believer. However, but I told myself I would not tell my wife about these comments. No way. She would definitely freak out, so I didn't say anything.

We went out to dinner and arrived back at 11 p.m. We rinsed off and got in bed. Then I was awaken by something pulling my toes. At the same time my wife woke up and asked me to stop pulling her feet. I said I wasn't. She just rolled over and fell asleep. I looked at my phone, and it was 4:00 a.m. I looked around the room and said ''I'm not scared ''. I lay there for an hour before I fell asleep.

The next day we were up and gone by 9:30 a.m. We had our breakfast, went shopping, went to some wineries, and ended up in Luckenbach all day for more drinking, dancing, and people watching. We arrived back to our weekend home, and the car made a funny noise. I turned the engine off then on again. Something was definitely wrong with the battery. My wife said ''leave me here and go buy a new battery.'' I said ''no, you're coming with me.'' We got it taken care of and came back. We were so tired, so we were in bed by 9:30 p.m.
