Galveston, Texas Ghost Sightings - PAGE 5
(...continued from the previous page)|
Just after Christmas in 2011, my wife (then girlfriend) and I were staying at the Harbor House on Pier 21. One night while I was in the shower, my wife said that she could hear the voices of children singing. We were on the third floor, so she looked out the window into the parking lot. Nothing. She opened the door and looked out into the hall. Again, nothing. So she ignored it. Apparently the women in my wife's family have the ability to see/sense/hear when visitors are around.
It was about a month later before my wife told me about the singing... She knew it would freak me out. About this time, I had become obsessed with learning about the 1900 Storm. One story of particular interest to me was the tragedy at St. Mary's Orphanage. According to legend, the nuns made the children sing to keep them calm during the height of the storm. So I asked my wife, did the voices sound scared? She said that she couldn't really hear any emotion... They were just singing.
Is it possible my wife was hearing the Orphan's voices?.

My family moved around growing up and we lived in different places in Galveston. Hearing the stories and experiencing them our selves. None as scary or tramautizing as the experience my siblings and I had when we were children growing up in the projects called back then ''park land'' I believe the name has since been changed.
We lived in an apartment downstairs in the corner area. I was aprox 6years old and my sister and brother a few years older. We encountered a glowing red fire ball shaped lion that would orb in a corner.
Of the room. We never talked about that experience till my sister brought it up as a teenager telling ghost stories. I was shocked to hear her story and my hair stood up in the back of my head. The memory of my experience of it came back to me and questioned my sister about it.
