I have two stories. I'll start off with the less frightening story then tell about the horrible things that happen in my house. About four years ago me and my grandmother who used to be a cop were invited by one of her officer friends to work at the haunted for Halloween. She said that they need a couple more people, so my grandmother decided to let me, my dad and my aunt help. At the time I was eleven, and I was already scared to go into an old abandoned jail. I'm pretty sure my grandma said something about working there a while back and how countless inmates would commit suicide, but I think she was trying to scare me.

It was about a week before the haunted jail thing would start, so me and my grandmother went to go decorate our cell. We were lucky no one else was there, and we could just decorate. Me and her went up to the second floor and start putting stuff up, and that was when stuff started to get spooky. We heard running, and it sounded close by. We both froze. My grandmother asked if there was any one there. Then we heard a loud banging sound repeatedly. We put our stuff in our cell then quickly made our way out of the jail. The only way we would come back is if it was crowded with people decorating witch didn't happen a lot in a week, so our cell sucked.

Now this is my second story. I was born in Georgetown and lived here for a while then moved to Roundrock then came back when I was in 4th grade. We moved into the Golden Oaks subdivision right behind Hard Tails and the airport. It's pretty creepy out here but very pretty and a lot of land for me and my family. It was hard for me leaving all my friends then making new ones. One of the new friends I made told me that I had moved into her grandma's old house. I said ''wow, what a coincidence. '' I asked her ''where does she live now?'' And she flat out told me that she died in our house because of cancer. I laughed and didn't believe her.

Later when I got back from school I asked my mom about who used to live here, and sure enough she told me an old couple lived here, but the husband wanted to move out because his wife died of cancer, and there were too many memories. She said she was never told that this lady died in the house. That's when it all began. We had this weird little red clay bird that we thought the guy left by mistake, so we just threw it away. (My mom did. She got picked on by this ghost the most, and I think this is why. ) The next morning the red bird was back in it original spot. Me and my brothers were questioned if we did this or not, but we didn't. At the time my mom didn't believe in ghost, so she grounded us for lying she threw it away, and the next morning it was at the foot of her bed. Now my mom was slightly angry. I already thought it was the old lady. My mom kept on throwing it way, and it kept on coming back in weird spots, and I think she kind of started to believe the same as me. We finally smashed the bird, and it stopped.

From that point on my dogs were always acting weird. For a while nothing much would happen. We might take a picture and see one of those weird glare things in the picture, but one day my dog Goldie, a 10-year-old dog that never barked started barking and growling, and my dog Bella did the same. My mom, me, and my little brothers were there, so it was freezing all of us out. My mom went to go see what was wrong. All the sudden our box of markers and colored pencils flew across the room almost hitting my mom. She started to freak out, and she loaded all of us including our dogs in the car. We stayed at my grandmother's house for a week. We finally came back.

Not 2 nights later I wake up because my mom's screaming. We didn't know what was going on. We again all left and stayed with my grandmother. She said the felt some one watching her then sit on the bed for a while. Then she said it grabbed her hair and started pulling it. We had a priest come and bless our house. The sad thing is, he said he felt a horrible feeling in my little brother's room. They were at the time napping and when he walked in to bless it he started singing and saying verses from the bible at the top of his lungs. He basically washed our carpets with holly water and gave us like 20 crosses. He told us to not have a room in the house that did not have a cross in it. He said it was a very powerful spirit, and once I was old enough would probably start picking on me.
