There was a family that lived there and the stepfather was an alcoholic and tried to kill his entire family. The woman killed him to save her five children. They reMained in the House for over a year until they moved away around 1986. He was a mean evil hateful Man and filled all the family with terror and threats     of killing them all. His body is buried in the Gilmer cemetery in Gilmer TX.. He hated everyone and they had no refrigerator no stove no electricity until the baptist church in east mtn helped the lady get the electricity turned on. They were not allowed to open the curtains or answer the doors if anyone came. They had no phone and knew no one to ask for help. He was a big Man and loud booming voice. He died in front of the fireplace in the living room and he lives there even today within the silent darkness of those empty rooms.
