Greenville, Texas Ghost Tales I lived in Greenville with my grandmother for several years in a house haunted by my grandfather and my mother (both of whom had died in that house of natural causes). In the room occupied by my grandmother, the closet doors would open of their own accord. My grandmother said it was only my grandfather keeping and eye on things. There were footsteps and bangs at night that couldn't be explained. My grandmother was the only one who would stay in the house at night by herself. I have not been there since she passed away and the house sold to a young couple, but I hope they have not been scared of my grandfather. Submitted by Elizabeth H. I once lived in a house in Greenville, TX on Windy Hill Rd. Someone ran behind a family member into a room and no one was there. The room was where the previous owner's son had passed away. The room was always extremely hot. Things were constantly moving, and there were unexplained sounds as well. Also...an unexplained fire that fizzled itself out quickly. I lived there for thirteen years. My whole family has encountered ghosts there. There is an old man who died repairing the house, a nice old lady that used to talk to me and my sister and sit next to us on our bed and a very   michevious young boy that plays with a ball in the hallways and on the stairs. I can write pages of things that happened in the house but they're all friendly ghosts and are almost part of the family. If they don't like you they'll let you know. In any case, this is an antagonistic spirit that should be stayed away from. The spirit of a guy having names carved into his forehead may once in a while be perceived sitting on a sofa in a home in Greenville.
