At the Kerr County Courthouse in Kerrville in the courtyard it has been said that a young woman was killed here by her jealous boyfriend in the late 1800s. Afterwards he hanged himself in a tree there. It has been said that if you go there after midnight that you will possibly hear arguing, feel heavy breathing on your neck, start to feel very sad, and start to cry for no reason that you know of. It has been reported that some have seen a young woman running and a man hanging from the old tree. One person claimed to have experienced being in their car, and the doors locked and unlocked the whole car started to shake then a loud bang on the top of their car. Others have reported seeing lights in the courthouse flicker on and off late at night or early morning.
