When Laredo was founded there was a cemetery right off San Agustin Church. They moved it when Laredo starting growing, it was where saint Peters Church is now. Then they moved it again to where now is Benavidez Boys and Girls Club, then again to where it now is by Saunders. If you have any questions about it or would like to join our history club hit me up josue. morales21 @ hotmail. com.

When I was in high school I had a friend who lived on Garfield St. (by Lamar ms). I kid you not: every time I would sleep over at her house she and I would hear bizarre sounds coming from her back yard.
One night after mustering up our courage we decided to walk out to the back yard to see what or who was making these strange sounds. To our astonishment we saw a carriage circa: 1800's with a black horse running through the walls of the house! It's driver (wearing a stove pipe hat and suit) stared right through us and motioned a ''shhh....
'' sound. The ghost carriage was something I will never forget. After researching the history of the neighborhood. I found out it was a cemetery back in the early 1900s. The area is commonly known as ''ghost town'' with good reason.
