came from the same general area about forty yards from our house. Well, so far all the strangeness has been ''outdoors'' - not indoors. Weird. Right?.

I have lived around Lone Oak and the Lake Tawakoni area most of my life. At one point as a young married couple my husband and I moved into a small gray house on the main road in Lone Oak. We knew there was an old lady who passed away in the house but never expected to encounter all the crazy stuff. It turned us from skeptics into believers. We had young children, and the house was only two bedrooms, so both kids shared the back room. Out the rear window from that room was an old water well. It was also close to a path that went to the back porch. The house was really cute even though it was tiny. We were excited to be living there and closer to our family. We were there about a week when the kids were not sleeping well at night. They would wake up screaming very loud. One of our kids would have what appeared to be bites of some sort all over the arms and legs. This child was an infant. Our other child would run and jump in bed with us. We just thought maybe it was the move and not being used to the house. Well, it was not long before I started seeing the old lady sitting in a rocker that was not there in front of a wood burning stove in the living room. It was every night I would see her.
At first I thought it was my imagination, but the more things started happening the more I realized it was not! My husband was working two jobs at the time, so he did not see much. Even during the day the house just had a strange scary almost intimidating feeling to it. It seemed the longer we were there, the more things happened. Things included weird loud creeks and noises that happened constantly. Our TV would turn on and off by itself, and we had the old turn dial with no remote controls at all. Kids continued to be scared of the back bedroom. One night I was washing dishes and had my kids in the room with me. One was playing on the floor with toys; the other was in her swing about three feet away from me. The sink had a window that overlooked the walkway to our porch. I could see the backdoor to the enclosed porch clearly. The back door to the house was in the kitchen and literally an arm's length away from the sink. I was looking out of the window and saw no one. All of a sudden the back door started shaking violently, and the deadbolt was clicking unlocked and locked. At first I looked at it thinking my husband came in through the garage door and the door at the other end of the porch (which was a very scary dark damp room. ) I opened up the curtain and looked out the kitchen door, and there was nothing, but the door was moving violently. My oldest child started screaming. I grabbed both kids and took off running barefoot down the road to my family's house.
My husband did not think it was all that bad of course because he did not witness it. At that point I refused to be in the house alone after sunset. I did not care to be there during the day either, but it was a little better. That following weekend we left to go shopping. The house was locked up and air conditioner going. We came home and found the house destroyed inside. Nothing was taken. Everything we owned was knocked over and thrown all over the place. Our little one's baby bed was in many pieces like it was splintered. The house had a funky bad smell too. All the doors and windows were locked! We even asked our neighbors if they saw anyone around the property, and they told us no, they did not see anyone! We packed our stuff that weekend and fled never looking back. That old woman did not want anyone in her home. I do not believe she was a nice person obviously! The house is still there but painted a different color. And guess what? An older lady lives there now, and as far as I know she has never experienced anything.

Comment by Long: This is so true. I know who it happened to. The house is just off 69 not far from across the pastor, where I have lived most of my life.
