On the day we moved in a small toy flew across the room. My two year old daughter started talking about ''a boy'' and would point at thin air. As time went on cabinet doors would be open when I came into the kitchen in the morning. Bathroom water could be heard turning on and off with no one else in the house. The sound of heels on the wood floors could be heard and my older daughter could     hear the cries of a baby when she had one ear to her pillow. I heard it as well as visitors who used her room. One night at dusk I was looking out the front door and a soccer ball went into the air from the porch, bounced off the house and rolled across the yard. The list goes on... The home was built by a prominent Luling business man for his family. The house was constructed in the 1870s. Submitted by Mary Comment by Mary: I wrote the account above and wanted to add a few things. In a back bedroom of the home a Bible was often found lying on the floor. I would push it back tightly into place and again minutes later it would appear on the floor. If I sat and watched the bookcase nothing would happen.... Until I left. One night I was dreaming I heard pots and pans banging together... Yelling in my kitchen. To my surprise I could still hear it when I awoke. Minutes later my oldest daughter whose room was located just off the kitchen jumped in my bed sobbing.. We heard the same thing. My two year old was put to bed one night and a few moments later I went to check on her. She was sitting on her bed growling and crying. She said a boy was flying around her light fixture. In a very stern voice I told him to leave her room. He did. After she was OK she slept through the night. The house is located at the south end of Laurel St across from the San Marcos River.   (continued on the next page...)
