and play it off. Then from both sides of the woods two pairs of what we could only describe as white legs (4 bright poles of light that moved that two pairs of legs) were coming towards us. We looked at our phones (for some reason they had all died at some point during the walk) and knew we could only walk towards them, so we walked at them arm in arm. They fled back into the woods, and we ran back to the safety of my house.

and told her the stories. She didn't believe me. I told her if she made it down Spiller to the end of Joyce without running, we'd go see him. She climbed out of my window, and I went after being careful not to turn on my porch light. As we walked past the stop sign, we heard laugh and what sounded like kids playing in the shallow woods on either side of us. Kiya kept walking and acted like she didn't hear, but she looked at as if to see if I heard it
