I lived near marbridge villa in Manchaca when I was little around 5 or so. We lived in an old mobile home behind the villa off a lonely dirt road. My family and I would often see black shadows ''dash'' across the floor or ceiling mostly and disappear just as fast as they came. I would also use the bathroom in one end of the trailer and leave the door open because I was scared. Sometimes the door would slam shut on it's own and wouldn't open

like it was locked. This happened a few times. There was always something unsettling about the place. Submitted by John

There is a section of forest near a tributary to Bear Creek that was once the site of an ancient Native American settlement. It's on private property but I remember going there when I was younger while exploring the outdoors, as many kids do. Anyway, before I knew what exactly I'd stumbled into, I felt like someone was watching me, but not in a threatening way, more of just a cautious observance, sort of the same feeling you get when you step inside of an old church. South of where I discovered this site there are burial mounds across the creek, on the property of a woman I once dog-sat for, she informed me not to be scared if I saw any Indians while walking the dog at night, as they were only there to protect the mounds.
