I was not a believer in the paranormal until I moved to Mansfield, Texas and finally got the chance to move into my own bedroom (away from my other 2 siblings). At first the noises and weird feelings were not as prominent...I kept making up excuses for what I heard or thought I felt. ''this is normal,'' I told myself... Not knowing the chain of events that would soon follow. My encounters are different every time so I do not feel that it's the same exact ''being'' that bothers me, but I feel most of the time it is either 1 ''being'' or a group of people. It started with simple popping noises I would only hear at night from my computer. At first I told myself... Oh it's just because it's electronic. In desperation to prove that my theory was correct I disconnected all electric wiring to my computer (I mean everything) and still the popping noises continued. Then I started to feel things. I am not talking about an emotion like ''scared''.
I am talking about that sixth sense. A cool caressing air against different parts of my body (skin) that was already under my heavy fur comforter. This part was weird because it almost seemed like when it happened it was / is a male because of where I would be caressed (legs, thighs, back). Whatever it was/is knows when I am tense because it almost feeds off of it. It's like it will go to the next level and then the next level until I get really uncomfortable that I leave my room or turn my bedroom light on for the remainder of the night. I began to be open with others about what I had been experiencing. I was afraid to share at first because I did not want to be prejudged. Most were surprised, but eventually shared their own experiences making me feel better about the situation I was in. There was another person who kind of was in disbelief that I was even sharing the things I did. |
One night while I was in my bedroom doing my studies, this same person charged into my room with a scared look on her face. The first thing she asked me was, ''did you hear that? ! '' I looked at her and responded with, ''hear what? '' she explained to me that she was in the study room which is directly behind my bedroom upstairs when she heard loud horses, galloping and yelling. At first she thought it was her kids watching a movie and then when it happened again the second time her kids looked with shock at her as their heard it too. She peeped out the study room window to see if by chance the neighbors were partying, but there was nothing. That's when she ran into my room to see if I heard the same thing as I have the same window to the same side. She told me it was like something from an old western movie with cowboys and Indians or something similar. I smiled at her and asked, ''now do you believe me? '' she quickly got her things together and went to bed without answering my question. |
More recently I had a disturbance that was a little more physical. I push, if you will. I was already laying down on my bed but I felt a light push (like a nudge) on my shoulder. I opened my eyes and nothing so then I tried to relax when it happened a couple more times...I was not sleeping and I did not dream this up. I then got up and went into my siblings' room which usually helps. Believe it or not, this time it did not. We even had one of the low-lit lamps on, but it continued to do the same thing. Then I got angry and yelled, ''what the hell do you want? !!! '' everything suddenly came to a halt and then I was left alone the rest of the night. The past 2 nights I slept away from my room and last night I heard something that continued throughout the remainder of the night on into the morning. I slept with my nephew and niece in the master bedroom downstairs which is right beneath my own bedroom upstairs. I kept hearing a low rumbling that woke me up. It was the sound of an Indian war drum beating. It went ''duh-duh-duh ... Duh-duh-duh'' over and over again.
The first person that woke up after me was my dad, I asked if he was hearing what I heard... He said yes. He went to look around the house to see what could possibly be making that sound. He confirmed that the washer/dryer was not on, the water heater and the heater did not make the sound either. My sister was 3rd to wake up and in the middle of me trying to explain to her what we heard...The thumping began again and this time is was louder then before. She looked up and said, ''it's come directly from your room upstairs. '' she went to have a look. She told me when she opened the door it was so cold in my room, like it had been abandoned for quite some time. She told me she looked around but could find nothing. I went to work and then she later told me that an older nephew of mine sleeping next to the master bedroom that I had slept in the night before heard the sounds the entire night too.
