Mertzon, Texas Ghost Tales I used to live in Mertzon's olderst brick building. Now it has been turned into apartments. At night you can hear the cries of children, and in the room that belonged to me I could feel the presence of an angry, violent, and very tall man. One night the room went freezing cold and I could make out the faint shadowy figure of this man waking towards me. I've moved now, and can sleep a lot better at night. There are stories of the judge. People say if you go in, you'll never come back out.
