Mesquite, Texas Ghost Tales | |

There is an abandoned street called Hollowman Road in Mesquite with a bad reputation. Supposedly a man living there killed his entire family. It was also rumored that a santanic cult would hold ceremonies there. Years ago me and 3 friends went down there. It's fenced in now but back then you could still drive down it. It was very late and so overgrown with weeds that you could barely make out the road. As we rounded a curve we saw a bright flickering light. We couldn't drive any further so we all got out and walked towards it. That's when we could see it was a huge bonfire. There were figures dressed in dark robes all around it. Then one of them turned towards us and yelled. They all started running at us. We scrambled as fast as we could back to the car & tore out of there. The next day, feeling braver in the day, we went back. We went all the way down the road but found nothing. The area where we saw the fire was just as overgrown as everything else. There was no sign that any thing had burned, nor any trace of anyone being there.

I was out with my friends one night and we saw a young woman holding a cat. it was cold out side, and she was not waring a jacket. she looked at us than walked away. But while she was walking she grew transparent and disappeared.

You may feel that there's nothing abnormal involving Mesquite, Texas, but there are ghosts in this town, and they show up during the night time. Ghosts are so routine in this place; scores of folks who live here don’t even worry about it anymore. People who have never stayed a day in this municipality will inform you it's superstition, but with so many ghosts in Mesquite you have a rather fine chance of witnessing one if you stay overnight in this place.
These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.
The ghost of an awfully charred lady can be noticed very frequently sitting at the dining table in a Mesquite residence. In any event, this is an unfriendly phantom that you wouldn't want to meet late in the night.
The ghost of the driver of a train has from time to time been noticed in a deserted place close to Mesquite. Lots of folks who live here claim this ghost may be a famous old days dweller
