My friends used to live in a house right across the street from a church on Main Street. One day they came home and found their son hanging from the light fixture. This was very devastating to them. He liked to play basketball all the time. He was always bouncing a basketball around the house. After his funeral they were awakened almost every night from hearing a ball bouncing in their house. They moved out about six months after that.
I was at Wal-Mart one day, and a lady that used to be at the hair salon was talking to me. All of a sudden she mentioned that her and her husband had bought a house on Main Street. Then she proceeded to tell me exactly where it was. My eyes opened big after finding out that it was the house my friends used to live in. Then she started talking about the basketball bouncing all the time, and no one was there. Her children begin to see a kid in their mirrors constantly. She said she was going to have a priest to come in and bless the house. They did that, but it continued. They moved out, and I have never seen the woman again.

I grew up in Midland and lived there most of my life. I always had a way of telling people or knowing sometimes of what would or could take place. In the 1980s I lived on Ric Drive with my parents and brother. I always had great respect for the elderly. My grandfather and grandmother were at McDonald's one night with me and an elder of a local church that was 101 years old. He was very active and very nice man. I got to talk and visit with him and really liked him and his stories. As we were leaving he asked me to come visit him sometime. I took his card in my hand, but as it came into my hand I looked at him and knew I would never see or hear from him again before he passed away.
