she and her friends took for a joy ride while he was gone, and she also died. It just makes me wonder if my grandparents have moved on, or if they are still living in that house on Neely Street. Moving to Houston has not stopped my adventures in the paranormal, however. Just lucky, I guess.

In the late 1970s we moved to Midland. It was during the oil boom. Homes were hard to find, but my parents found a duplex apartment on Mitchell Street. It was really small for our family of five. However, after living in a motel for twelve months it was nice to have your own place. One night while lying in bed with my younger sister, I felt like someone was watching me. I awoke to see a tall man dressed in army fatigues standing on the other side of my bed, the side my sister was lying on. I watched as this man slowly made his way around the foot of the bed headed straight for my side. I was terrified. I could not move. I did not want him to know that I saw him, so I watched him walking around my bed without moving my head, just watched him with my eyes. I did not know what to do. It seemed like slow motion. The closer he got the more terrified I became. I could not breathe, and my heart was racing.
There was a small dresser next to my bed. All I could think of doing was to knock over this dresser and make some noise. Then maybe my parents would hear it and come running. I managed to do just that, and sure enough my mother came running. I told her what had happened, and she could see the fear in my eyes. She knew I was not just dreaming. She walked through this small duplex. She made sure both doors were locked and all the windows were locked. Everyone else in the house was asleep. She calmed me down and said go back to sleep. I could not of course, so I just lay there for awhile. In about thirty minutes my little sister told me that she saw him too. I said ''yea, right. '' I figured that she wanted some attention too, but then she said ''how come you didn't tell mom that he was a black man. '' That was when I knew that she had seen him too. That was the last time we saw him. We moved to a new home about three or four months after that.

On December 22th, 2019 at 3 a.m. I woke up hearing noises from the garage. At first I assumed it was the AC, but it kept going and going, so I got up to check it and heard the noise coming from the garage, so I opened the door, and as soon as I did the noise stopped. Being sleepy I went back to bed.
