The next night I heard the drums again. was convinced it was a ghost, so this time I grabbed my guitar which was in my room. I decided to this time to match the spirits tune and play along, so I'm drumming my guitar, and we sound great together. It was truly magical. The door swung open, and I saw my drumsticks moving and hitting the drums, but no one was playing, and that's where my band got the name Dirty Mama. Submitted by Ben

We lived in the second house from Garfield (on Cuthbert). We did not believe in this paranormal stuff at the time, so we disregarded many weird occurrences. The doorbell would ring sometimes in the middle of the night. Our oven timer would repeatedly go off. We had a healthy young child who become sick. Our child had respiratory problems and vomiting that went on and on while we lived there.

During this time I became pregnant with our second child. After she was born she had difficulty keeping her milk down and projectile vomited all the time. My husband and I would talk about all the really weird stuff but kind of end up passing it off. One night about 4:00 a. M. My husband and I were talking in the combo dining room/living room. We both heard ''mommy''. We looked directly into each others' eyes in disbelief. Again we heard very loudly ''mommy''. We jumped up to search and found nothing. There were no toys and no dolls. Our children were staying the night at my mother's home that night, so we knew it was not one of our daughters.
For Christmas our oldest daughter received a toy called ''you don't know Jack''. It was an electronic trivia game that would ask questions and play musical tones. It had cards with it. That game frequently went off and shot cards out even though it was off, so we took the batteries, out and it still went off. We had to put it in the garage on a shelf because it was freaking me out (by that time we realized there was paranormal stuff going on).
My husband was installing a little enclosed garden in front of our home. In case the new baby ran out the door, she wouldn't be able to run into the street. He hit a little glass bottle like a small medicine bottle. Inside there was a long poem or prose entitled ''the secret garden''. It was rather difficult to read the handwriting. Our children's' health had improved, thank goodness. Things calmed down we kind of just accepted that the house was haunted.
