Muleshoe, Texas Ghost Tales I am a sophomore student athletic trainer at Muleshoe High School and the varsity basketball teams play at the middle school gym. One night the head athletic trainer sent me to the high school gym just across the street to get some water bottles. I went in through one of the locker rooms in the back and as I walked in I had an uncomfortable feeling. When I walked into the actual gym, the lights were off and I knew there was nobody in there and I heard footsteps on the court and a ball being dribbled.      Many coaches and janitors say they have experienced things like this in the gym. There have been noises reported coming from under the bleachers and the locker rooms!!!. Some folks declare this spirit is in all probability the undeparted spirit of a local person who used to have a house here in Muleshoe. A headless female may once in a while be spotted in Blackwater Draw around midnight shouting. If you talk to the residents, this ghost is the struggling spirit of an old Muleshoe local. The spirit of a 12 feet tall enormous guy has often been witnessed looking at the water by Millen Lake Dam in the early morning hours before sunrise. According to what the folks who live here claim, this spirit is that of a person who settled here in Muleshoe some decades ago. One thing is for certain, it's undeniably a chilling ghost that should be avoided.
