I lived north of Nocona off a dirt road. When I first moved out to there. The ranch house I would eventually move to wasn't ready yet, so I had to live closer to Red River Station. I found out much later that I wasn't the only one to experience odd happenings.
Sometimes late at night there'd be a loud banging sound that always had a metallic ring to it. The house sits far from the nearest road, and there are no nearby neighbors. Having to get

up to go to work after being awakened like that was rough. When I'd hear the noises, I always got up to investigate but never saw anything or anyone.

Nobody that I know of has ever slept well at that location.
One time long after I moved out and into a different ranch house closer to the river, a coworker came with me to make sure the plumbing was winterized. A cold weather snap was forecast. Just as we were leaving the house, a male voice spoke to us like someone talking on a CB. That was the oddest experience to date at that house.
