Odessa, Texas Ghost Tales | |

I lived in Odessa my whole life and of course Ive heard of the ghost of Betty at Odessa High School and no she didn't die in the auditorium to set the record straight. But they say every house has a ghost and my ghost is named Lewis how do I know because he told me so. We would see his name written at the very top of the wall by the board line of my little brother's room with crayon. There was no way anyone was that tall to write that name up so high without a ladder. My parents had just finished painting that room the day before and of course they didn't see the name. But things got weirder one day i finished

brother was in the living room watching tv. And of course there is the usual explained footsteps and scratches on my door. So was it my imagination or is there really a ghost in my house. Submitted by Kool Aid Kid
I'm very susceptible to seeing and hearing things. I have been this way as long as I can remember. One night my husband and I were asleep when I woke up all of a sudden. I look to where my husband is and a lady is over him caressing his chest. I try to move to wake him but I can't. That's when she turns to me with an eerie smile. Next thing I remember is waking up and it's morning.

BLACKSHEAR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN ODESSA IS VERY MUCH HAUNTED. ME AND MY FRIENDS HAVE SEEN LOTS OF GHOST SIGHTINGS. IN THE GIRLS BATHROOM
NEAR THE CHOIR ROOM, THE 3RD STALL, IT IS HAUNTED. THERE IS A LITTLE GIRL, I THINK WHO WAS MURDERED BY A TEACHER YEARS AGO. NOBODY LIKES TO GO IN THERE. AND IN MY TEACHER'S CLASSROOM, THERE IS A SPOT
ON THE FLOOR THAT IS HOLLOW. WE THINK THERE IS A COFFIN, UNDER THE CARPET, AND THAT THE GHOST OF THE PERSON DISTURBS ANYONE WHO IS IN THERE ALONE. THE AUDITORIUM IS CRAWLING WITH GHOSTS. THE MOST POPULAR
SIGHTING IS A LITTLE GIRL WHO JUMPS ROPE ON THE STAGE AT NIGHT. THERE IS A MYTH THAT A CUSTODIAN WENT UNDER THE STAGE AND HE DIED IN THERE BECAUSE A PIPE CAME LOOSE AND HIT HIM ON THE HEAD. VERY SCARY. Submitted

I never believed in ghots stories until I went to blackshear. Me and my friend were just in the bathroom talking about what people were telling me. And me the new girl heard alot of ghost
stories, but I thought they were just trying to scare me. My friend told me not to worry but right when she told me the lights went out and we heard the last stall door opening and closing then the lights
came back on and on the door it said get out now !! Me and my friend ran out of thier and told our other friends, but they didn't believe us. Up to this day they don't believe us but me and my friend
know what we saw. Submitted by anonymous
Many years ago here in Odessa, it has been said, a young girl was killed in one of the high schools auditorium. It's been said that if you park your
car and turn off the ignition, in the front of the school at midnight and flash your headlights three times, the girls ghost will appear. As a result, the car doors lock and the car won't start. Submitted

I have never heard of any of these instances and ive lived in odessa all my life. My grandma's house on the other hand is almost like a portal for the spirits. we have had many different
ones go through the house over the years, but none except for the little girl and the tall black man seem to stay. Submitted by Thia
