I live in Houston right on the edge of Pasadena. When I worked at kbr I used to have to get up and leave at 4 am to be to work on the other side of town at 5 am. Most of the houses close to me we built after the 1950's but there used to be two older farm houses one of which was on the corner of Allen Genoa where I turned to get on the freeway.
One foggy morning in front of the Allen Genoa house a man in a dark hat and clothes stepped out in the road front of me as I headed to the freeway. I screamed! I thought I maybe I had killed somebody or something! I didn't hear a thump but I stopped the car and got out and looked around but didn't see anyone laying down on the ground anywhere.|
To say the least it scared the daylights out of me. I went on to work but it really really upset me. He never ran out in the road again but I saw him standing on the side of the road at least two more times early in the morning.|
One day while I was waiting for my car to be fixed at a nearby garage a little old man brought his car in too and sat down and talked to me. He said he was 90 and had lived in the area his whole life.
We started talking about ghosts because it was almost Halloween. I told him about the man. He told me when he was younger a tramp had been the victim of a hit and run at that corner. They never found out who he was and who killed him.
