My father's life changed when one night he came home around midnight, and according to his story, came face to face with the most horrible appararition he ever saw in his life. My father lived in a house near the railroad tracks when he was a young adult. His guardian was always telling him not to stay out late at night, afraid something bad could happen to him. Father didn't pay attention to him and kept staying out past midnight whenever he did go out. One night he stayed out late and upon coming home, he entered through the back kitchen door. According to his story, the wood stove was to the right just as you entered the kitchen. When he stepped inside, he encountered a huge dog like animal crouching in front of him next to the stove, the animal had a gruesome snarl and red glowing eyes. Father said he immediately leaped bacwards away from this thing, fell down and made a raucous. Everyone in the house woke up and came to see what the commotion was about. They found my father still on the ground and the kitchen door open. Father told

scary sighting. This house used to be across the street from Hoods Clinic where the vacant lot is now, used as a parking lot. Submitted by S.L.R.
As told to me by my best friend Lalo. One night in the 1970s as Lalo and a friend were driving around town they decided to drive out of town towards the leaona river 8 miles away. It was summer around midnight, as they were coming up to the curve before the river they saw movement and an object on the side of the fence in the weeds. They slowed down and saw an old lady slowly walking in the weeds along side of the fence. She was dressed like in the 1800. What scared them was she was caring cradled in her arms a man with no legs. The man was dressed like a soldier from that era. They got really scared and floored the accelerator and sped away. About a mile up they decided to turn back to get another look. As they came up to the curve on the high way, they slowed down again expecting to see the lady but didn't. When lalo told me the story even I got some kind of scared. by S.N. Submitted
