A lady devoid of a head has frequently been observed demolishing a picture in the middle of Hay Creek. If you listen to the residents, this ghost is the undeceased spirit of an old Petrolia local.

A man devoid of a head is repeatedly witnessed browsing through a cabinet in the bathroom of a Petrolia apartment on a dark night.

The phantom of an aged gold digger with a big mustache and a wooden right leg has allegedly been perceived on one or two occasions by Byers City Reservoir Dam on a dark night staring at the water.

The ghost of a waitress may repeatedly be witnessed near the entrance to Lake Arrowhead State Park
 
    smoking a pipe. Based on what the residents allege, this ghost is the ghost of a visitor that was murdered while journeying through Petrolia many years ago.

The phantom of an elderly Indian chief may be seen very frequently looking at folks in a Petrolia mobile home through a keyhole. Anyway, this ghost sure is bloodcurdling; one that you don't want to run into very late at night.
