Poteet, Texas Ghost Tales | |
|
I lived in a trailer on Rendon Rd. out side of Poteet. My oldest daughter would see and hear a lot of ghost in the house. At first I blow it off as her being a big chicken. But as time went on we all started to hear and see ghosts. And they where not very nice. The TV and radio would come on with the volume all the way up when we where all asleep. There was a ghost that was a old man and one that was a little boy. The old one would run up and down the hall stomping and slamming doors. The little one only came out in the day time and you could see him in the corner of your eye. It got so bad that we had to move. If there is any one that lives out there with more ghost let me know. For years stories have been circulating about a haunted house on the western edge of rural Poteet. In this house residents do not seem to be able to stay inside. Supposedly if you try to spend the night in this house, ''something'' will carry you outside while you

are sleeping. People awaken out on the lawn with no idea of how they got there. Dishes can be heard clattering in the kitchen and cabinet doors can also be heard slamming shut. The house is dilapidated and not livable now. Some former residents moved after just a few hours in the house and vow to NEVER return. Submitted by Mary Category:
