For the first several years after our house was built here in Roanoke, Texas you could smell wood smoke in one the bedrooms (usually early evening). Also there was an uneasy feeling in that room of being watched by someone. A relative of ours visiting sprinkled salt and holy water all around the room and blessed the room. Since that time there has not been any wood smoke smell or uneasy feelings. I often wonder if it was the ghost of cowboys or Indians lighting their fire at their common camp site.

There are sightings of Indians. I moved here last year and have 2 children 4 and 8. They have told me they see Indians in the house and on the street. I ignored them at first thinking because we moved to Texas they assume there are cowboys and Indians running around all over. One night I did see what looked like an Indian walking down the street. He disappeared after 30 seconds. I do not know what I saw, but whatever it was disappeared into the air. It did appear to be an Indian.
