Then I asked him who had been laughing. It turns out that although he was right there he had not heard the laugh that we heard! Another time recently we were sleeping when around 2am the fire alarm shrieked four times and then stopped. We leapt from the bed and ran all over the House looking because there was no smoke and no intruder (we thought maybe it had been the intruder     alarm). There were no further incidents and no batteries tweeting or anything since. I have used incense and rang my tibetan bowl through the House several times. I keep the back door open ring the Bell through the House and then shut the door. Each night that I do this the neighborood dogs go nuts. They bark all night long and no one is Likely to get any sleep in a mile's radius. Crazy? There are other things but these are the most obviously startling.
