Smiley, Texas Ghost Tales

There's not a thing peculiar about Smiley, Texas while the sun shines, but this town is visited by the undead when the sun has gone below the horizon. Furniture slide about, noises from nothing. A number of locals argue these tales are untrue, but the ghosts of Smiley are out tonight trying to locate a person to frighten.

These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.

The spirit of a female with letters engraved into her nose came
 
    into view twinkling a lantern mid stream in Board Branch. The appearance of the viewer terrified the ghost who then disappeared. One of the folks who live here determinedly says that this ghost is that
  of a local who dwelled here in Smiley a long time ago.

The spirit of a lady with a stiletto in her heart was noticed meditating in Evans Hollow in the early morning hours before sunrise. The spirit spoke about avenging a homicide. Several of the folks who live in this town declare this ghost takes pleasure in startling foolhardy folks who dare to disrupt the quiet in Smiley.

A woman with the head of a beast came into view at Kelly Lake Dam before dawn startling people. The eye witness panicked and escaped. If you talk to the people who live here, this ghost takes pleasure in scaring folks
who come seeking ghosts in Smiley.

A lady grasping her head beside her arm was observed on the top of Bald Mound in the early morning hours studying the landscape. The ghost did not seem to be worried by the bystanders.

The spirit of a man with half his head gone has frequently been witnessed playing a tune on a fiddle in a Smiley mobile home.
