Snyder, Texas Ghost Tales I live in a house at the Country View RV Park (across from the cotton gin) and the house behind my house is abandoned and is used for storage. One night a few years ago in the abandoned one me and my friends were messing around and suddenly a room started flashing like a strobe light but there is no electricity in the house, I wasn't scared at first then somebody yelled ghost and we all ran out. I have tried to see it again over the years, but it was the only time it ever happened. Also, a couple months back in a town outside of Snyder called Dunn me and my friends went into the Dunn cemetery late at night to go play the Ouija board then we saw a shadow ran and hide behind a tree, we went to look behind the tree but it was gone. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The ghost of a pregnant woman has repeatedly been witnessed staying in a vacant structure in Snyder. Whatever folks   utter, this is an antagonistic phantom that should be avoided. A beheaded guy is repeatedly observed at Hackberry Creek after midnight tossing bricks into the current. A lot of locals argue this ghost is almost certainly the struggling ghost of a local person who used to have a house here in Snyder. A woman with her head and right arm and left leg removed is rumored to have been made out on numerous instances going bananas in North East Park in the early morning hours before sunrise. People here who have observed this ghost allege this ghost is the undead soul of an old Snyder person who lived here. A soldier's outfit walking about with no body in it can often be perceived up on Lloyd Mountain chucking stones. The ghost of a civil war warrior can be witnessed frequently standing by a wild road close to Snyder. The ghost of a critically charred woman has from time to time been made out by the entrance to Lake Colorado City State Park piling pebbles. The phantom of an engine driver is now and then perceived being carried by a moped on a dark road in close proximity to Snyder. One thing's for certain, it's a terrifying spirit that you would not want to run into before dawn.
