Stanton, Texas Ghost Tales The railroad tracks across from the post office going south are haunted too. If you put flour on the back of the bumper of the car, put your car in neutral on the tracks and act like you can not get off the tracks they will push you off into the clear of the train. You will see little hand prints on the back where the flour is. Way back they said a bus full of kids got stuck on the tracks and all got hit by the train and killed. They don't want the same happen to you, so they push you across the tracks. It is scary but it is a good thing. At least they don't try to kill you!! We did it about four times; it is really true. Try it if you don't believe me. Submitted by Grew up in Stanton When we had a business in the old stanton bus station behind the current post office, I had left a tape recorder in the restroom overnight because of weird feelings and hearing things while in the restroom.I heard things all over the building at night but the restroom was prominent.Well the next day I listened to the tape and 5 minutes into the tape there       were noises of people in the building like if we were open.Keep in mind it was anywhere from 12-1 in the morning. No one was there at all anywhere. If anyone knows stanton at night,they know it's it's completely DEAD! I guess more than we know....
