We believe my father and mother in laws house in Temple Texas on S. 9th Street is haunted. When they moved in they found change jars in the back of a shed located in the back yard. When they moved the change jars into the house they heard noises around the change jar as if something was trying to get the money. Wherever they moved the change jars to they heard the noises around. If they turned on the light it would stop. When they turned the light back off it continued. Also the bedroom doors can be completely shut at night and latched but when you wake up the door will be wide open and sometimes you can see a latched door open on it's own. The other day my husband was coming out of the hall into the kitchen where I was standing and all of the sudden out of nowhere by itself the top of the stove (which is a gas burner turn knob) turned on.

There is also a footprint in the wood floor that appears to be from an animal. Submitted by Krystina

I spent many weekends at my at my great grandparents house on N. 5th Street in Temple. Their house was extremely active. The spirit of a lady would often come into the room where we slept and turn on the heat or open the windows, she would tuck the blankets around us and pat our heads. We would often see her standing in the parlor area near the fireplace and she would appear to be crying. My cousins and I were very frightened of her as most children our age would be, but the adults didn't seem to take much notice of her.
