This area has a lot of war history. I work at the Temple VA and have heard stories about a POW camp that was part of the military base. Where the VA is now I guess it was all part of Ft. Hood.

Hello, My name is Aubrey. I lived in Temple from my birth till I was twelve. I went to Jefferson and the Lamar. The house I'll be speaking of is close to Industrial Boulevard. We lived there from 81 to 85. I always had a sense of being watched. I shared a room with my big sister for a little while and nothing odd happened. Once she got her own room it started. At first it was noises, whispering, laughing, and heavy breathing. After a while I started seeing things. From my bed you could see the end of the hallway. I would see what appeared to be shadows at night. I'd get under the covers and fall asleep.
Then one night I saw what seemed to be two red lights glowing in the hall. Then I realized they were eyes, but not only that but they were moving towards me. I tried to scream, but nothing came out. Then when it was about halfway down the hall I was able to call out, and my parents' lights came on. She turned the hall light on, and they were gone. Well nothing happened for a long time, or it seemed that way, but my mom was acting strangely. If my dad and I left mom alone, she'd be anywhere but in the house. When we'd get home she would say she heard voices or thought someone was in the house. Dad got her into counseling because he thought she was losing it. Then roughly a year after my experience with the eyes it happened.
My sister and I changed rooms, so I couldn't see down the hall. To get to my room I had to go past my parents' room. One day I made my dad mad, and he sent me to my room. As I walked past my folks' room, I noticed a woman ''standing'' in the doorway to my parents' closet and a second ''being'' sitting on the foot of my parents' bed looking towards the closet. The thing on my parents' bed was not human ever. It had a black body, and its head was all red except for its eyes which were black. It had jagged teeth and a face that looked like a mask. I couldn't move because I was frozen in fear. This wasn't your normal fast glance. I stood there for ten seconds though it seemed like forever. Finally it looked at me like Ogre was mad. He waved his arm sideways, and the file slammed very loudly. The being looked like you'd expect the devil to look.
Anyway as soon as the door slammed, I could move, and I ran to my parents. They asked why I was slamming doors. I explained what happened, and dad said it was the wind. I asked what wind because there weren't any windows open. Finally my mom, dad, and I went to check out the room. The door was shut, but nothing was in there. There was just the strong odor of matches or something and slot of flies (the flies really weren't unusual because that house had bunches of flies year round. Well flies and rats. Which was strange was that the house was always impeccable. ) When I explained about the woman in the closet mom and dad looked at each other. Then they told me that a woman had committed suicide in their room by hanging herself using the closet door. We didn't live there much longer. I didn't have issues once we moved. I see things even now but not my house. I would really like someone investigate that house because I believe, you'd get evidence. Any questions. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org .
