going crazy. Well that was until one day in the mid afternoon we were watching TV, and from our hallway the voice screamed ''daaaaad. '' My wife jumped from her side of the couch on to my lap yelling, ''I heard it. '' I was so happy that she heard it because I really thought I was losing my mind.
We tried speaking back, but we only heard breathing. Therefore we moved out. We never asked the previous owner anything. The place still exists on Organ
Street in Weslaco across from a middle school.|

These events happened in October 2007. I was starting my fist semester at a college in Weslaco, Texas. My brother and I were looking for a house to rent in town, so I could get to school on time and he could go to work without having a long drive. I remember we were looking at houses in downtown Weslaco when we came across a small two-bedroom house on South Missouri Street. I will never forget the feeling I got when we first walked in. It was an old house but well kept. It was beautiful, just what we wanted. We moved in that following week. Everything was fine until one Thursday morning.
I was woken up by the feeling that someone was watching me. We used to leave the light in the hall on at night because the restroom was right across the hall and my brother got up often to go. Through under the threshold of my door I could see the shadow of someone standing in the hall. I heard footsteps as they walked away and then came back to my door again. I kept feeling uneasy so I turned on my lamp, and I called out to my brother and told him to go to sleep. The shadow just stayed silent standing in front of my room. I finally got up the courage to open the door, and when I did no one was there. I walked to my brother's room and opened the door. He was sound asleep. I went back to my room and sat on my bed trying to make sense of what had just happened. A few minutes later which was just past 1:00 am I heard a blood chilling scream come from the living room, it sounded like a girl crying out in pain. At that moment my brother came running to my room and asked me what happened and what was that sound. I had no idea what it was or what made it happen. We waited a few minutes to see if it would happen again, but the house was dead silent, almost as if it was waiting for us to make a sound, like it was watching us. Nothing more happened that night but the night after was the same, and so was the night after that.
These events took place every night at almost the same time. We used to sleep with our radios and lights on to try to cover up the shadows and the strange screams, but little did we know it was just the beginning. I was coming home from school one afternoon and had forgotten my key to the front door. I checked to see if it was locked, and it was. I decided to go through the back door, and it was also locked. I finally got in through the kitchen window, and when I did I felt a cold draft. I walked to the living room and saw that the front door was wide open. I could not believe it. I was just outside trying to open it, and it was locked. There was no way it could have opened by itself. It was locked from the inside. I searched the whole house, and I was the only one home. I decided to forget about it and take a shower. I locked the front door and put my car keys and my school books on the dinner table and made my way to the rest room. When I got out a short time later all my things were all over the floor as if someone had thrown them around. The door was still locked, and no one else was in the house.
