We live in a house that I believe to be haunted. We found two secret rooms in the house. One was upstairs; it is wall to wall mirrors with a ballerina type balance bar along the sides. Every one of the mirrors is squarely punched out in the middle. There was a pair of slippers and some stationery on the floor. We packed them up and moved them downstairs. That night we heard crying and things moving or being moved. It sounded at one point like a child was throwing a temper tantrum upstairs. It also got very cold in the house.
I went upstairs the next morning, and the hidden door was wide open. I closed it and went back downstairs. That night it happened again all over, and I heard that door slam open. I went up the next morning (with someone next to me). I closed the door, put a latch on it, and pushed a 290-pound bookcase in front of it. My son and I were watching movies that night when we heard the book case scraping across the floor. It was awful, so slow as if a child was doing it. Then we heard a pop, pop, pop and the door slammed open. Then it got very cold in the room. We left. That following morning I called a friend of mine who said I should put the items that I took out of the room and put them back exactly where I found them. I laid the shoes back in their dust and the stationery right next to the shoes. We also closed the door, put the hardware back on (since it was busted off), and pushed the bookcase back.
Occasionally we hear crying or whispering, and our cats focus on one certain spot on the ceiling and do circles. The second room was hidden in the bathroom in a built-in bookcase. We went down there, and there were toys, cups, and books. It was as if someone had lived down there. We did not move a thing and put a wall up over the hidden door and room.

The woman had fun visiting all of the antique shops in Wichita Falls that morning. She had found some great deals on antique items and purchased them. Her favorite was the blue and white porcelain pitcher and bowl set from the late 1800s in which you used to wash your face or for shaving. Later that night she and her husband found it difficult trying to sleep. They blamed it on the heat and humidity because the air in the house seemed so heavy and sticky.
