In those days in Payson you had to have proof of your age to buy beer or proprietors would call the cops on you. I'm saying this to establish my sobriety at the time of my incident. Summer in the central Arizona mountains is a time of ''monsoon'' rains.
After a particularly strenuous day I fell asleep on the couch while watching TV. I was awakened by loud thunderclaps. It was probably about 8:00 pm the window was open. It had no screen. It was pouring
rain and I realized I must close the window.|
I looked at the window and saw a ghostly head moving up to the window opening and then back up and back.
The ghost-head appeared to be that of an Apache warrior. The face was round a smallish head.|
The warrior had a bandana on his forehead extending a considerable distance back on his hair. The hair was actually long thin snakes and so was vibrant writhing in nature. This Apache had a fierce scowl on his face.
It was so vicious that it made his face appear as though it were a wildcat not a human. He had war-paint stripes on his cheeks lines of
