Legend has it that a valley a few miles from Tuba sat a large snake and her babies in that little Valley is a canyon- either Blue Canyon or Coal Canyon, can't remember- and there are dirt roads to reach the edge. If you notice there's one pillar that sticks out of the canyon. At night- full moon also helps- you can drive to the edge turn off all lights and stare at the pillar and if you do you might see blue apparitions of dancing natives.

I should tell you this one sighting I myself encountered just recently but have no fear. You people may think I'm lying too. So one night at 9 pm I was coming home from a basket dance with me and my cousins, we happen to see a lights while we were getting closer to Coalmine heading to Tuba City we saw a bright smoke coming from the abandoned area which some villagers believed to see the same thing also and we would pull over and went to check it out. When we got closer we heard women and children screaming and crying when we got there everything was quiet. So I turn my head toward the cliff area across from coalmine there was sound of a lady crying then silence but as the howling in the distance grows my causing points toward the cliff, and said to me look there's someone standing on the rock in the center of Mesa which people say a lady once floated with the moon.
