Colorado Springs, Colorado Ghost Tales My mother passed away in Canon City about a year ago. We live in southern El Paso county. On the 1 st anniversary of her death we had some strange things go on in our own home. About ten o'clock or so I began to smell cigarette smoke in the kitchen. Since nobody in our home smokes it was quite eerie. Upon further investigation-there was actual smoke in the hallway, again it was very strange. When I returned back to the living room, my mothers picture was moved from the wall to the counter in the kitchen. Goosebumps I must say.. Strange things continue, but nothing I really worry about. We though that this was really strange because there is no area for anyone under our couch and there is no crawl space. Submitted by Skittelz My husband our son and I all lived in a nice apartment in colorado springs on west meadow dr.       my husband got up one night to chaeck on our son in the dark and said he saw a small person (male) standing on our bar counter! my husband doesn't believe in ghosts so I paid attention to his story. there have been several similar things happen in our apartment witnessed by him,myself and our guests!. Hitting and kicking my bed, knocking on my bedroom door and calling my name in the night. It walks across my upstairs bath making the floor creek in the same manner as when I walk on the same space. They walk on my Bed. They move pictures and frequently spook my Dog. This house was new when we moved in back in 1993. This area was a TB Sanctuary during the 30's and 40's. TB cases living in little six sided cottages in the area that later became the Carlson Diary. . Submitted by John Brown While watching a movie something knocked on the door and when we opend the door it ran up the stairs, there was a shadow at the door. We were home alone and the alarms were on, we searched the whole house and no one was there. Submitted by Hillary and Andrew It was about midnight and I couldn't sleep. I stared out into the hall and saw the ghost of a tall, woman.The woman had long hair, a dress that came all the way down to the floor, and an emotionless look on her face. I was 7 so I hid under my blanket and when I looked up she had dissapeared. But the creepiest part was that 1 month later I saw a woman on T.V that claimed to see the same ghost!!!.
