Crawford, Colorado Ghost Tales I have often seen a woman hitch hiking alongside the road outside Crawford. I have also seen a stage coach attempting to race me on the highway, pulled by black horses. As well, a woman enjoys wandering around my property, peeking in windows, and playing with the cats. And on top of that, a young girl has been leaving hand prints all over the ceiling of my home, giggling, and touching our faces. The handprints have since been painted over. Some folks who live here allege there are no phantoms, but seeing is believing and if you spend the night here in Crawford, you may perhaps   catch a glimpse of a phantom. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The spirit of a guy having on military attire was seen before dawn scrutinizing Buck Canyon in detail. The watcher panicked and fled. One of the local residents confidently claims that this ghost is the undead soul of a long dead Crawford local. An old knight's armor devoid of a human being inside appeared drinking blood from a mug near Crawford State Park. The phantom did not seem to be troubled by the observers. One thing's for certain, it's a creepy ghost that you shouldn't go looking for.
