We were staying in Grand Lake and were told to take a hike around monarch lake. A dangerous storm came through and although it was lightning hailing and raining we weren't afraid. After the storm passed we continued on our hike around the lake.|
When we got to the far side of the lake (furthest from the parking lot) both my husband and I got the weirdest feelings. We felt like we were not wanted there. I can't explain it but we were so scared we could
not get done with our hike quick enough.|
I swear that there was something in that woods and it did not want us there.

Comment by anonymous: Same!!! I tried to hike around the lake solo. Got to the mid point and panicked. It was a horrible feeling all around me. I've tried 3 other times since then. And something weird always happens. Flas storms creepy feelings all around the lake. I am done with monarch lake.|
Comment by B: This happened at Monarch Lake Colorado Trail. I hiked around this lake solo and kept feeling anxious the closer I got to the halfway point around the lake. I was so panicked and fear stricken; I was shaking to get back to the trail head near the parking lot. Monarch Lake has a horrible energy left in the woods at the halfway mark. The storms come in quickly and strong. Every time I go there there is a heavy darkness that looms over the lake. It is a beautiful lake but stricken.
