The ghost of a female with a plastic bag bound around her head is frequently observed pacing through a Mancos area cemetery. A partially translucent guy clad as the skipper of a freight ship is rumored to have been seen on a few instances in Cox Canyon after midnight hollowing out a hollow. It has been said that this particular ghost gets pleasure from scaring unwise people who come trying to find ghosts in Mancos.
