The ghost of a surgeon with a blood-covered uniform has now and then been observed struggling to state something in Barbour Ponds State Park right by the park headquarters. It has been declared that this particular spirit is that of a person who had a home here in Mead before the present.
The ghost of a guy hauling a blood-covered knife is every now and then seen drifting along Boulder Creek at the stroke of midnight.
