New Castle, Colorado Ghost Tales

As a teenager I lived in a house on main street near elk creek. It was built in 1893 and at one time had a dog kennel on the property. In 1999 I awoke one night to find a gray schnauzer in my room. At first I thought it was our family dog, which was a beagle mix. The room was always partially lit by a street light so I could make out its features very well. It approached me and I thought it was a real dog so I yelled at it to go away. I was going to put it outside but it turned to the window and faded away. I never slept well in that house again.
