Wellington, Colorado Ghost Tales

One day while preparing a bedroom for the birth of my son, I was overwhelmed by the sight of a rather heavy box that needed unpacked.  As I was at the end of my pregnancy and quite heavy, I did not feel I could successfully move the box.  I began to walk out of the room to call my husband for assistance but happened to glance back only to see the box was already moved!!!  I can only speculate that the ghost of a former and kind resident of my old house had realized my predicament and came to my aid.

My mom and dad moved into their house in 1975. In 1976, when she was

pregnant with my brother, she claims that she needed help moving a box in one of the bedrooms. She asked my dad to help her, but he was too busy watching a football game. She returned to the room to find
that the box had moved itself.
After my mom had finished washing her hair in the kitchen sink, she turned around to see a black mist in the doorway to the living room, she said it was as black as night and icy cold.
My cousin and brother shared a room when they were very little. This was in the early 80's. My cousin refuses to talk about it to this day. He is now 32. My mom was a witness. My brother/cousin shared a bunk bed.My cousin was in the top bunk, and really late at night he was awakened by a terrible presence. Not sure if the presence was male or female, but it grabbed him and tried
to force him out of bed. He started screaming and yelling, and both my mom and dad ran to his room.
My sister was very little, about 10 or 11. We both shared a room, and one night she was awakened and startled to see a young boy staring at her in her bed. The child appeared to be about 8 or 9 years of age, and had a sinister grin on his face with a greenish glow. She still has a hard time talking about it.
My parents divorced in 1984, but my mom still resides in the same house. It was built in about 1906. I myself have never had an encounter with a ghost in the home, but one occasion I did hear someone at the backdoor say my name. .
