Coeur D Alene, Idaho Ghost Tales We recently rented an older home at Driftwood Point on Lake Coeur 'd Alene. We were watching TV, and a light above the TV kept going on and off repeatedly. The position of the switch had no effect on the light; it continued to go on and off at about two minute intervals. I finally unscrewed the bulb and set it on the raised TV platform, fully expecting it to continue to go on and off. It didn't; if it had, we would have left that place immediately! We were also  awakened every night, twice, (about 1:00 a.m. and 3 a.m.) by the sound of a glass or crystal bell sound. We scoured the entire house, but never found a bell, or anything else that might have made this ghostly sound. One morning, my belt went missing. I know that I left it on top of my jeans, folded on the wardrobe. I went down stairs to load up the truck for an outing, and grabbed my keys, wallet and camera off of the kitchen table where I had left them the night before, and put some items in the truck. When I came back in, my belt was on the kitchen table, right where I had just picked       up my wallet, keys, etc. It was definitely not there moments before... Submitted by R and J       Category: home A private residence in a newer neighborhood in Coeur d'Alene has repeated sightings of a transparent younger girl with blonde hair, and an elderly man with a cane. The little girl appears to   be friendly, and the elderly man seems to be menacing, but causes no harm. They appear together most of the time. One of the residents of the home claims that the ghosts are old residents of the town. They were a family. They have been known to speak to the residents and move items and flicker and turn on and off the lights, control electric devices. They lock the residents in or out of their rooms. They touch them and make disturbing noises.
