Corral, Idaho Ghost Tales In 2004 while driving home from the local fair about 11 PM, my five year old son reported seeing ''a woman in a dress and bonnet from the old west days walk along the railroad tracks, scream and get hit by the train''. We were traveling at highway speeds and the area is pitch black at night except for a few farms dotted across the prairie in the eight miles between Fairfield and Corral. We have lived out of state since 1989. We were shocked as the railroad tracks in the area had been removed around 1982 leaving only a mound of dirt running parallel to the highway about 200 yards away. Lots of ghost sightings have been reported by the residents. Doubters don't have faith in the local ghost tales, but anyone who has stayed for a few days in Corral, Idaho knows better. These are some of the spooky things that have happened       here recently. A bloodcurdling skeleton can repeatedly be noticed screaming at the watcher to disappear in Camas Prairie Centennial Marsh Wildlife Management Area at midnight. It's been alleged that this exact ghost may be the spirit of a local resident who died here in Corral long ago.
