Council, Idaho Ghost Tales    The local paper in town asked me to help out a story they wanted to do on the Branding Iron Steakhouse a couple years ago.  We went in at about 3 in the morning and this picture is what we came out with.  I believe it to be a Vortex in the side dining area. . - Ghost picture submitted by Alicia BIGGER SIZE PICTURE HERE       Categories: vortex, restaurant This was a photo taken just up the street from our apartment, at an old broken down Victorian home on school ave. in Council. On the upper right hand window there appears to be an elderly woman peering down at me. I am? sitting on the front steps of the house. Some are skeptical until the picture is enlarged then they can really see it, so judge for yourself. the woman can be seen wearing a large brimmed hat and smiling. - Ghost picture submitted by Hannah       Categories: lady, home I owned a Home in Council for 10 years. The Home had been brought in from a Camp in bear. The House had been remodeled Many times. I Felt someone in the House and could see shadows of someone. I could hear a ball being rolled across the floor in the upstairs rooms. Once as I slept after a night shift I Felt someone touching my foot. I thought it was my kids coming Home from school. When I woke up no one was there but I could feel someone in the room. Another time while I was cooking I looked on the stairs and saw a Young boy blond with a striped shirt on. All of my kids were in the front room. The boy disappeared when he saw me looking at him. I never Felt threatened by the boy Only a calming feeling when he was in the house. I often wondered who he was. I Felt an attachment to him since we lived in the same Home for so long. He left me with a sad feeling he had a hard life. Submitted by Kathy       Categories: home, boys, school, shadows, camp My best friends house is probably the craziest       house we have ever experienced...and I have experienced a lot.  Computer chairs will start spinning around in circles with no one in them...you will hear a little girl laughing from the family bathroom, large black shadows blocking light will move from one room to another.  Don't have any pictures but we have gotten EVP's and even a video of activity.    We believe that there are at least 5 ghosts in the house.  One of a small child, a woman who cries at night, 2 men and an old woman in her mothers bathroom. Submitted by Alicia       Categories: home, family, lady, children, man, sounds, evp This is one that I think most people in this town will agree on.  Out Airport road is a local swimming hole called Ashley's bridge.  Fun during the day but terrifying at night.  Usually around 11:00 p.m. strange things are known to happen.  People I know wont even go out there during the day anymore.  My friends and I have taken it upon ourselves to test out what happens.  We have experienced voices, have seen things move, violent banging on the bridge and unseen things splashing around in the water...one of us have even been chased by something no one could see.  Other people we have talked to have told of a older man trying to coax them out away from friends in near-by bushes.  We did some research and found out that back during the gold rush men would kill other men to steal there strikes and bury them on the surrounding hills.  Spooky...still working on some pictures.
