Rexburg, Idaho Ghost Tales My husband and I were hiking ''R'' Mountain a few days ago. As we were approching the top, we noticed a large man covered in what appeared to be white hair all over his body. He began moving quickly towards us, and we hiked as fast as we could away from the beast. We looked back once, and he was about 10 feet behind us. We heard a loud, screeching yell from the beast, and then he ran away. When we reached the bottom, we noticed footprints that were distinctively larger than any man's. We figured this was the ghost of the man who died on ''r'' mountain one time. Submitted by Rachel After picking       up some milk one night, I came back to the car to find my daughter talking to someone who was outside the window. I asked her who she was talking to, and she said ''the nice man that owns this store''.   I've heard other stories of where the man gives the children coupons, and when the parents go to redeem the coupons, they find out they've been expired for over 30 years! This has been reported as a friendly ghost who loves people. So by all means, approach him and get some up-to-date coupons from him! . Submitted by anonymous I used to live at 10 1/2 East Main above the resturant TJ's Cafe.  Both us and the tenants across form us would hear footsteps coming up the stairs to the apartments, only to find no one there.  We have seen a white misty form moving through the apartment late at night after we were in bed.  On the first night there, My 4 year old daughter was taking a bath and started screaming hysterically about the ''man'' that was watching her.  My neighbor reported lights turning on in the middle of the night. Submitted by Cindy I used to live near Rexburg,in the Salem area, but I have reportedly seen a transparent figure with glowing red eyes near my garage and driveway. It had a long face, and was floating about 3 in. off the ground. It appeared to be searching or waiting for something, but then it looked up and it noticed me. Suddenly, it swooped forward towards me, then just disappeared. I no longer live in Salem, and I am sure glad that I have never seen it again. If you encounter something like this, LEAVE IT ALONE! Don't go anywhere near it. Submitted by Markus Their is a ghost of an old man with a dog in the Junior High. Janitors and teachers have claimed hearing slamming noises upstairs. When they run up, there is no one around, all the doors are closed and locked. There is also a trap door underneath the carpet by the girls locker room that rattles if you step on it.
