True Tales of Mina - #3 Thirty-five years ago Ray W.,the man pictured in the somewhat campy photo with his family, was a toddler who rode the train with his Dad & liked to pull the train whistle. His father, a goldminer & assayer, liked to spend the night in Candelaria & visit other ghostly spots. One early evening, he spotted a flying saucer that had landed in the distance & saw a greenish person walking about. .

building with the idea of fixing it up and getting ready to operate a small business. They thought maybe of a cafe too. But she changed her mind after a few weeks. When she spent a few nights there in

the building which was like a few stories high, there were sounds like someone was walking up & down the stairs, opening & closing doors. There was definitely a ghost there & she thought about getting a professional ''ghost hunter'' to come down to Mina & get that ghost to leave. But it seemed like nothing else was done about it. They asked me if I wanted to help but I said, ''Noooo thanks... See Ya, .

Around the Mina area on a late night in 1974, I wandered away from a small group of ''ghost town explorers''. Maybe I was 50 ft. away from anybody. It was a very

dark night. I felt calm & I thought,''nothing scary around here.'' But, just then a strong cold wind blew up from absolutely nowhere & hit me righ in my face. OK! That was enough for me! I jumped
off the pickup truck & ran back to my husband . He thought the incident was extremely funny. But I'll pass this along. '' Don''t tempt them ghosts.'' They ARE out there in Mina... See Ya.
