Tonopah, Nevada Ghost Tales The lady in Red was beheaded by her husband after he caught her with another man. She roams the Mizpah Hotel, maybe the town. A lot of beheaded or partially beheaded lady ghosts have been seen aroung town, I'm sure there is plenty more spirits here but I'd prefer not to see them. I found myself in the basement of the Mizpah as a teenage looking for supplies for the Pittman room. It never dawned on me that I was alone underneath a one hundred year old building, where there is an entrance to the Mizpah silver mine shaft tunnel network, all by myself. All of a sudden I felt freaked out got my things and ran back upstairs. Creepy. Same with next door, an old saloon of some sort. I worked there after it became a pizza place, eerie there too.
